GLASS POCKET DOOR

Why would she want a glass pocket door to the garden? The answer is clearly shown, above.
.
Elizabeth Clarkson loved to roll her Steinway baby grand on the brick patio & play amongst her beloved birds.
.
She left her home as a bird sanctuary open to the public, Wing Haven, in Charlotte, NC. Unintentionally, like Graceland, it stands as a time capsule of an era.

Love the idea that passion rules. However, I hope she had lots of room between herself and her neighbors. My neighbor is a retired flute teacher. He loves to practice outside and it makes my teeth ache and my head explode. I fear I have resorted to turning on my yard vac just to drown out the ear piercing notes. Our community has a noise ordinance, but I had to call the police on a 70 something thoughtless musician. I, do, however dream of creating a construction symphony (construction noises excluded from ordinance) that would automatically come on at a certain decibel emitted next door. Sigh...

I wish I knew about a glass pocket door in 2005. It would have solved a problem. I love that Chintz chair. My kind of fabric.
